Develer ve insanlar

Hani deveye “neden boynun eğri” diye sormuşlar da, deve de “nerem doğru ki?” diye cevap vermiş diye anlatırlar ya… Gerçekten birisi devenin karşısına geçip, ciddi ciddi boynunun fiziksel yapısının nedenini sormuş mudur?
Devenin cevabına geçmeden önce, bu soruyu soran adamın ruh hâllerini incelemek lâzım. Gerçekten de deveyle konuşan adamın aklı ne kadar başındadır ki, psikolojik, sosyolojik durumu ne kadar yerindedir ki, deveyi muhatap alıp, “boynun niye eğri?” diye sorma gereği duymuştur. Yani niye “Deveden büyük fil var diyorlar, bu senin ağrına gitmiyor mu?” diye sormamış da, garibanın boynuyla uğraşmış. Veya “Sen yolunu bulamıyor musun da, senin dörtte birin kadar eşek, sana kılavuzluk yapıyor?” diye sormamış bu adam? Bir hayvanın fiziksel eksikliği veya kusuruyla uğraşmanın ayıp olduğunu, hatta suç olduğunu bilmiyor mu ki bu soruyu soran şahıs? Şahsen ben olsam, bütün hayvan severliğimi hissettirerek “Deve kardeş, sana diken, insana öpen yarar diyorlar, senin dikenle ne gibi bir duygusal bağın var” diye sorardım. Uzun uzun cevap verip, bir insanla muhatap olmanın utancını yaşamasın diye de ABCD şıklarını sıralardım.
Hadi ki o birisi, sıcakların da etkisiyle deveyi adam yerine koyup o saçma soruyu sordu diyelim. Hangi canlı kendisinin çirkin, her tarafı eğri büğrü, işe yaramaz olduğunu kabul edip de “nerem doğru ki?” diye cevap verir ki?.. En cahil, en geri zekalı deve bile, en azından “Boynumun neyi varmış ki, senin böyle boynun yok da, kıskanıyorsun” diye savunmaya geçer. Azcık da ağzı laf etmeyi beceriyorsa, “sen kendi hâline yan, ben yükümü taşıyorum, sahibim de kuzu kuzu benim yiyeceğimi veriyor, açlık derdim yok. Sen benim gibi değil, eşek gibi çalışsan bile, yarı aç yarı toksun, senin gibi adam olacağıma böyle deve olurum daha iyi” der. Hatta hızını alamayıp “hiç olmazsa benim hörgücüm var. Yiyecek bir şey bulamazsam hörgüçten idare ederim. Sen yıllarca çalışıp bir gün çalışmasan aç kalırsın” diye de laf çakar.
Eee, bu laf üzerine de, deveye boynunu soran adamda birazcık düşünme yetisi varsa “vay be, deve kadar olamadık” diye hâline yanar. Devenin ev kirası yok, vergisi yok, elektrik, telefon, su faturası yok. Büyük ihtimalle çocuklarının okul masrafları da yoktur. Bir yere gidecekse, taksiye otobüse .inmek zorunda değildir. Etek, gömlek, pantolon, ayakkabı giderleri zaten yok… Başbakan'ın öve öve bitiremediği son zamlarla birlikte 680 lira emekli maaşı alıp “Allah bereket versin, Allah devletimize milletimize zeval vermesin” diye dua etmek zorunda da değildir. Bugüne kadar kredi kartı borcunda, geçim sıkıntısında intihar eden deve gördünüz mü? 600 lira asgari ücretle çoluk çocuğunu geçindirmek için cambazlık yapan, devletten kömür, gıda paketi almak için oyunu satan bir deveye rastladınız mı?
Kendi kamburumuzu düşüneceğimize, devenin boynuyla uğraşmak kolayımıza geliyor. Aslında kolayımıza geldiğinden değil de, herhalde sadece açlık ve yoksulluk sınırını yakalayabilmek için bile onurumuzu da kaybediyoruz.
Türkiye’de kişi başına düşen milli gelir 5 bin Dolar diyorlar. Kendimden örnek vereyim. Bizim evde 5 kişi var, 25 bir Dolar gelirimiz olması gerekmez mi? Yani yıllık 34 milyar lira bizim eve para girmesi lâzım ki, normal bir vatandaş sayılayım. O rakamları hiç görmedim şahsen. Peki kaç kişi görüyor, herkes hesabını bir yapsın bakalım. Nüfusun yüzde 20’sinin, milli gelirin yüzde 80’ini aldığı bir ülkede, başkasının yıllık milyon Dolarlar aldığı payı, benim hâneme niye yazıyorlar? Ne güzel hesap. Birisi yılda 5 milyon Dolar kazanacak, birisi 500 Dolar bile alamayacak. Ortalaması alınacak, kişi başına 5 bin Dolar düşüyor denecek… Böyle hesap olur mu? Devenin cevabı meselesi, hangi hesabımız doğru ki?

Ankara dışından gelen tüm burslu öğrencilere inşaatı tamamlandığında üniversitemize ait konuk evinde ücretsiz barınma olanağı sağlanacaktır. Konuk evi inşaatı tamamlanana kadar Ankara dışından gelen ve çeşitli yurtlarda kalan burslu öğrencilerin aylık yurt ücretinin 450 YTL’ye kadar olan miktarı üniversite tarafından ödenmektedir.
TOBB ETÜ Öğrenci Konukevi 36.678 m² arsa üzerine kurulu, biri kız ve biri erkek öğrenciler için olmak üzere iki bloktan oluşmaktadır. Toplam kullanım alanı 45.899 m² olan ve 23.948 m²'ye sahip iki katlı yeraltı otoparkı bulunan kompleksin inşaatına 7 Mart 2009'da başlanmış olup; konukevinin 2010 yılbaşında tamamlanarak hizmete girmesi planlanmaktadır.
Binalar, 2 bodrum kat, 1 zemin kat, 12 yatakhane katı ve 1 tesisat katından oluşmakta ve beş yıldızlı otel konfor seviye standardında inşa edilmektedir.
192 adet tek kişilik, 408 adet çift kişilik ve 24 adet engelli odasında toplam 1032 öğrenci barınabilecektir.
Otopark kapasitesi 702'si kapalı alanda olmak üzere 766 araçlıktır.
Binada yatak odalarının yanı sıra kafeterya, lokanta, etüd alanları, spor merkezi, ziyaretçi odaları, bavul emanet odaları, çamaşır ve kurutma makineleri, sosyal alanlar, güvenlik ve sağlık birimleri bulunmaktadır. Yirmi dört saat sıcak su imkânı olan müstakil banyo ve tuvaletler ile otel standardında ısıtma-soğutma cihazları bulunan odalarda ayrıca kablosuz internet, telefon, elektronik kartlı giriş sistemi de kurulacaktır. Böylelikle tek bir çatı altında öğrencilerin her türlü ihtiyacına cevap verecek tesisler ve bina dışında yeşil alanlar ile dinlenme mekânları bulunacaktır.

Injection
We can get a speedy recovery when we take injection for a disease. The tablets will take some more time to recover you when compared with the time of the recovery by the injection.
I will be very happy if some technologist or a research analyst fined an injection which is free from giving pain when injected.
I also read news about injection. It stated that we should not inject an empty injection to a person. It will cause death to the person who has been injected. The empty injection will have air inside and when the air gets injected in to one’s body, it will produce heart attack. So we have to be very careful about injections. This is the reason the medical practitioners used to exit some content in the injection even if it is full. We should keep t he injections away from children.
On the whole, let us hope and work for a sick free world.

But to understand the importance of KYC compliance for financial service providers better, its origins need to be examined.

The arrival of the new millennium was marred by a spate of terrorist attacks and corporate scandals that unmasked the darker features of globalisation. These events highlighted the role of money laundering in cross-border crime and terrorism, and underlined the need to clamp down on the exploitation of financial systems worldwide.
Know Your Customer (KYC) legislation was principally not absent prior to 9/11. Regulated financial service providers for a long time have been required to conduct due diligence and customer identification checks in order to mitigate their own operation risks, and to ensure a consistent and acceptable level of service.
In essence, the USA PATRIOT Act was not so much a radical departure from prior legislation as it was a firmer and more extensive articulation of existing laws. The Act would lead to the more rigorous regulation of a greater range of financial services providers, and expanded the authority of American law enforcement agencies in the fighting of terrorism, both in the USA and abroad.
In October 2001, President George W. Bush signed off the USA PATRIOT Act, effectively providing federal regulators with a new range of tools and powers for fighting terror financing and money laundering. During July 2002, the US Treasury proceeded to introduce Section 326 of the PATRIOT Act, a clause that removed some key burdens for regulators and added significant enforcement muscle to the Act.
What 9/11 changed, in essence, was the extent to which existing legislation was being implemented. Using the provisions of the earlier anti-terrorism USA Act as a foundation, it included the Financial Anti-Terrorism Act, which allowed for federal jurisdiction over foreign money launders and money laundered through foreign banks. Significantly, it is this anti-terror law that would make the creation of an Anti Money Laundering (AML) programme compulsory for all financial institutions and service providers.
Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act dealt specifically with the identification of new customers (“CIP regulation”), and made extensive provisions in terms of KYC and the methods employed to verify client identities.
In accordance with this piece of updated KYC legislation, federal regulators would hold financial institutions accountable for the effectiveness of their initial customer identification and ongoing KYC screening. Institutions are required to keep detailed records of the steps that were taken to verify prospective clients’ identities.
Although current KYC legislation does not yet demand the exclusion of specific types of foreign-issued identification, it recommends the usage of machine-verifiable identity documents. The ability to notify financial institutions if concerns regarding specific types of identification were to arise, combined with a risk-based approach to KYC, proved to provide a robust mechanism for addressing security concerns.
Effectively, the risk-based approach to customer due diligence grants regulated institutions a certain degree of flexibility to determine the forms of identification they will accept, and under which conditions.

VSEP
To help minimize this boundary layer buildup, membrane designers have used a method known as tangential-flow or cross-flow filtration that relies on high velocity fluid flow pumped across the membranes surface as a means of reducing the boundary layer effect. (See Figure 1)
In cross-flow designs, it is not economic to create high shear forces, thus limiting the use of cross-flow to low-viscosity (watery) fluids. In addition, increased cross-flow velocities result in a significant pressure drop from the inlet (high pressure) to the outlet (lower pressure) end of the device, which leads to premature fouling of the membrane that creeps up the device until permeate rates drop to unacceptably low levels.
Instead of producing high cross flow, an alternative method for producing intense shear waves on the face of a membrane is developed. The technique is called Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing (VSEP). In a VSEP System, the feed slurry remains nearly stationary, moving in a leisurely, meandering flow between parallel membrane leaf elements. Shear cleaning action is created by vigorously vibrating the leaf elements in a direction tangent to the faces of the membranes.
The shear waves produced by the membrane's vibration cause solids and foulants to be lifted off the membrane surface and remixed with the bulk material flowing through the membrane stack. This high shear processing exposes the membrane pores for maximum throughput that is typically between 3 and 10 times the throughput of conventional cross-flow systems. (See Figure 2, above)
The oscillation produces a shear at the membrane surface of about 150,000 inverse seconds (equivalent to over 200 G's of force), which is approximately 10 times the shear rate of the best conventional cross-flow systems. More importantly, the shear in a VSEP System is focused at the membrane surface where it is cost effective and most useful in preventing fouling, while the bulk fluid between the membrane disks moves very little.
Because VSEP does not depend on feed flow induced shearing forces, the feed slurry can become extremely viscous and still be successfully dewatered. The concentrate is essentially extruded between the vibrating disc elements and exits the machine once it reaches the desired concentration level. Thus, VSEP Systems can be run in a single pass through the system, eliminating the need for costly working tanks, ancillary equipment and associated valving.
The disc pack hold up volume of a system with 1,400 ft2 (130 sq. meters) of membrane area, is less than 50 gallons (189 liters). As a result, product recovery in batch processes can be extremely high.
Emulsified oil are serving as lubricant as well as coolant in various metal industries such as steel making and metal cutting. Disposal of emulsified fluid is a very tough environmental pollution issue. It has high COD and oil/water fully emulsified. Conventional bio-chemical treatment consumes large amount of chemicals and high running cost yet still requires multiple post-treatment steps. The disposal of solid cake will ultimately contaminate underground water. Conventional membrane treatment faces low flux and severe fouling issues. VSEP can simplify treatment process. It has high anti-fouling ability and high recovery ratio. Concentrate can be put as fuel and permeate can achieve discharge standard.
At startup, the VSEP system is fed with a slurry and the concentrate valve is closed. Permeate is produced and suspended solids in the feed are collected inside the VSEP filter pack. After a programmed time interval, valve on concentrate line is opened to release the accumulated concentrated solids. The valve is then closed to allow the concentration of additional feed material. This cycle repeats indefinitely.
Membrane selection is the single most important parameter that affects the quality of the separation. Other important parameters that affect system performance are pressure, temperature, vibration amplitude, and residence time. All of these elements are optimized during testing and entered into the programmable logic controller (PLC) which controls the system.
The operating pressure is created by the feed pump. VSEP machines can routinely operate at pressures as high as 500 psig (35 bar). While higher pressures often produce increased permeate flow rates, they also use more energy. Therefore, an operating pressure is used that optimizes the balance between flow rates and energy consumption.
The vibration amplitude and corresponding shear rate can also be varied which directly affects filtration rates. Shearing is produced by the torsion oscillation of the filter stack. Typically the stack oscillates with an amplitude of 3/4 to 1 1/4 inches (1.9 to 3.2 cm) peak to peak displacement at the rim of the stack. The oscillation frequency is approximately 53 Hz and produces a shear intensity of about 150,000 inverse seconds.
Feed residence time is set by the frequency of the opening and closing of the exit valve (valve one). The solids level in the feed increases as the feed material remains in the machine. Occasionally, a cleaner is added to the membrane stack and continued oscillation helps clean the membrane in minutes. This process can be automated and only consumes approximately 50 gallons (189 liters) of cleaning solution thus reducing cleaner disposal problems inherent with other membrane systems.
Control system
VSEP systems are supplied with internationally branded Programmable Logic Controllers. All components are fully contained in a NEMA 4 rated enclosure.
Various levels of control sophistication are available depending on the complexity of the application. For polishing or low solids applications simple controls having minimal outputs and inputs are provided. For high solids applications controls with more features are used to insure trouble free operation. The VSEP controller typically sets solids levels by actuating the exit valve based on operating parameters such as pressure or flow rate.
Other control options available include automatic clean-in-place, automatic flush, automatic shut down, full alarm features with digital diagnostic displays, remote diagnostics and monitoring, and many others. Dunwell engineers have spent years perfecting VSEP controls to maximize reliability and to minimize operator intervention.
Clean-In-Place
Clean-In-Place, CIP, is a package of pre-connected pipes, valves, tanks, pumps serving to clean the filter pack in steps by washing and flushing. Different cleaner can be applied according to different fouling chemistry. Piping has different material and different grade of polishing according to applications. One CIP can serve up to 6 i-series VSEP. Customer can choose either fully manual or fully automatic or somewhere in between according to individual application.

Aptallıkla ilgili değil de; yalakalıkla ilgili bir izlenim oluşmaya başladı bende.
Kariyer için, iş için, ihale için, çıkar için, geçim için yapılan yalakalıklara baktığınızda, herkes bir yüzde tahmini yapar; ama hiç kimse “bizim halkımız yalakalık yapmaz” diyemez.
Ben, bir oran vermem ama, hiç de az olduğu kanısında değilim.
Müdürünün gittiği camiye gidip, ön sıralarda saf tutan memurlar…
Makamında yükselebilmek için eşine türban giydirenler…
İhale alabilmek için, yetkililerin elini eteğini öpenler…
Bir ton kömür, bir paket gıda yardımı için oyunu satanlar…
Onun için ben Türkiye’de çok ciddi bir kimlik kaybı olduğunu düşünüyorum.
Böylesine bir kimliksizleşme ortamında da, Türkiye’de ne siyasi anlamda, ne kültürel anlamda yarın neler olacağını kimse kestiremez.
Bugün belli gerekçelerle bir partiye oy verip, büyük farkla onu iktidar yapanların, aynı gerekçeleri bir başka partide gördüğünde jet hızıyla kayması içten bile değil.
Bugün belli gelenekleri, görenekleri savunanların, bir süre sonra ortam değiştiğinde, çıkarlarının başka odaklarda olduğunu gördüklerinde, tam tersi kültürlere yönelmeleri gayet doğal.
Bunun adı, sadece ortama göre hareket etmek veya “işini bilmek” değil; apaçık ve resmen yalakalık.
Bir televizyon kanalında Fatih Altaylı’nın bir yorumu vardı. Şöyle diyordu: “İnsanların güçlüden yana olma gibi bir hastalıkları var. Bugünkü AKP iktidarına yakın olmak için yarışa girenler, bu iktidar değiştiğinde ilk söyleyecekleri şey eminim ki ‘Bunlar da çok ileri gitmişlerdi. Cumhuriyetin temel ilkeleriyle oynamayın diye çok uyardık ama dinlemediler; eriyip gidecekleri belliydi’ olacaktır.”…
Evet, Aziz Nesin’in “Zübük” hikayesinde olduğu gibi, bugünün yalakalarının, tutundukları dal kuruyunca ilk yapacakları şey, yeni bir güce sarılıp, ona yalakalık yapmak olacaktır.
Ve maalesef o denli yaygın ki bu yalakalık, neredeyse bir meslek haline geldi. İşin en acı yanı da bu tür yalakalıklara hâlâ prim veriliyor olması. Oysa bu yalakalıkların, başta yalakalık yaptıkları kişi ve kurumlar olmak üzere, hiç kimseye bir faydası olmaz. Sadece o kişilere belli dönemler çıkar sağlar.
Yalakaların tüm kurumlarda egemen olması sonucu da, hiçbir şeyin ülke lehine gelişmesi mümkün değil. Yalakalar için varsa yoksa kişisel çıkar anlayışı egemen olduğu için; ülke batmış, çıkmış; başka ülkeler kaynaklarımız sömürmüş; ekonomi dibe vurmuş; siyaset ahlâkı çökmüş; bunlar asla yalakaları ilgilendirmez. Belli bir dönem saltanat sürebilmek için, ağa babalarına yağcılık, soytarılık yapmak için akla gelmeyecek onursuzlukları yaparlar.
İlk bakışta bu tür yalakalığa yönelenlerin sadece geçim sıkıntısı çekenler olduğunu sanırız. Ama özellikle bürokraside, iş dünyasında çok daha ileri boyutlarda olduğunu; hatta eğitim alanında, bilim alanında ciddi unvan sahibi insanlar olduğunu görmek mümkün.
Bu ülke için; ekonominin kötüye gitmesi, terör, yolsuzluk, rüşvet ne kadar tehlikeliyse; yalakalık da bir o kadar tehlikelidir.
Ben yine de toplumun yüzde kaçının “yalaka” olduğu konusunda bir tahminde bulunmak istemiyorum. Sizler, etrafınızı şöyle bir süzüp yüzde oranını görün.

nanoteknoloji alanında yaptıkları çalışmalardan söz eden özbay, aydınlatmada kullanılan ve -tungsten- diye adlandırılan lambaların kullanımının nanoteknolojide gelişmeler nedeniyle yakında tarihe karışacağını söyledi. nanoteknolojiyle yüksek verimliliğe sahip ışık kaynağı elde etmeyi amaçladıklarını ifade eden özbay, yeni lambaların daha az elektrik tüketerek daha fazla aydınlatma sağlayacağını söyledi.
nanoteknoloji ürünü elektronik aletlerin elektrik tasarrufu sağlayacağına işaret eden özbay, dizüstü bilgisayarların enerjisinin büyük bölümünün ekran aydınlatmasında harcandığını, nanoteknolojiyle batarya ömrünün uzayacağını, bu nedenle elektrikten tasarruf edileceğini söyledi.
Türkiye'nin nanoteknoloji alanında yapacağı çalışmalar sayesinde, enerji tasarrufunda önemli aşama kaydedeceğini vurgulayan özbay, -bir anlamda, şu anki elektrik tüketimini arttırmadan, yeni doğalgaz kaynakları ya da yeni nükleer enerji kaynakları kullanmadan, enerji daha verimli kullanıldığından tıpkı aydınlatma çok daha ucuza ve az elektrik tüketilerek elde edilecek- dedi.

özbay, nanoteknolojinin en fazla kozmetik sektöründe kullanıldığını ancak gelecekte kullanım alanının derhal her alana yayılacağını bildirdi. kırışıklık kremlerinin nano kapsüller içerisine konulduğunda cildin tümüne uygulanabildiğine dikkati çeken özbay, pek çok kozmetik firmasının bu teknolojiyi kullanmaya başladığını kaydetti.
nanoteknolojinin kanser tedavisine de çok büyük katkılar yapacağını kaydeden özbay, kanser ilaçlarının nano kapsüllere yükleneceğini anlattı. bu ilaçların vücuda verilmesinin peşinden, nano tabancalarla sadece istenen bölgelerde patlatılacağını söyleyen özbay, ilacın yalnızca tedavi edilecek noktada uygulanacağını ve tedavide yan tesirlerin ortadan kalkacağını söyledi.
özbay, bu teknolojinin kanser tedavisinde kullanılması için 3 yıllık bir sürenin öngörüldüğünü, başlatılan bir projede gazi üniversitesi ve eczacıbaşı firmasıyla çalıştıklarını bildirdi.
cep telefonları küçülecek
nano malzemelerin kullanıldığı tıbbi görüntüleme sistemlerinin çözümlemelerinin daha da artacağına dikkati çeken özbay, dvd kapasitelerinin artırılabileceğini, bilişim teknolojisinde de büyük bir çığır açılmış olacağını söyledi.
nanoteknolojinin termal kameraların gece görüş sistemleri açısından da yenilikler getirdiğini anlatan özbay, nanoteknoloji ürünü termal kameraların çok daha uzaktan görüntü alabileceğini belirtti.
nanoteknolojinin günlük yaşamın olmazsa olmaz ürünü olan cep telefonlarının küçültülmesine de olanak sağlayacağını kaydeden özbay, nano malzemelerle yapıldığında cep telefonların boyutlarının bugün kullanılanlara göre 100 kat küçültülebileceğini ifade etti.
nanoteknoloji pazarında Türkiye'nin yeri
gelecek 15 yıl içinde nanoteknolojinin dünya ekonomisine 3 trilyon lira ek kaynak sağlayacağını gösteren özbay, bu teknolojinin Türkiye açısından da büyük önem taşıdığını vurguladı.
Türkiye'nin bu teknolojinin -üreticisi- ya da -tüketicisi- olma konusunda bir karar vermesi gerektiğine işaret eden özbay, Türkiye'nin günümüze kadar nanoteknolojinin tüketicisi konumunda olduğunu söyledi. özbay, -amacımız sadece bilim yapmak değil, bu teknolojiyi Türkiye'nin yararına kullanmak- dedi. Türkiye'nin nanoteknolojiyi tüketen değil, üreten ülke konumuna gelebileceğini vurgulayarak, şunları kaydetti:
-nanoteknolojinin insana sağlayacağı refahı algılayabilen herkes bu teknolojiye sahip olmak istiyor. abd 4 sene içerisinde nanoteknolojiye 4,5 milyar dolarlık kaynak ayıracak. ab 7. çerçeve programında bu alana ayırdığı kaynağı 3.5 milyar avroya çıkardı. önümüzdeki 7 yıl içerisinde ab, nanoteknolojiye 100 milyar avro kaynak aktaracak. bunu yalnızca bilim yapılsın diye değil, buradan çıkacak teknolojilerin refah seviyesini daha da arttıracağına inandıkları için yapıyorlar.
çin bu hususlarda 1 milyon kişi yetiştirmek üzere bir eğitim çalışması başlattı. japonya, kore ve israil'de bu konuda çok önemli çalışmalar var. yani bütün gelişmiş ülkeler buna kaynak ayırıyor.-

Kırlangıç
Günlerden bir gün kırlangıcın biri bir adama aşık olmuş. Ve adamın penceresinin önüne konup adama şöyle demiş:

-Ben seni çok seviyorum lütfen pencereyi açıp beni içeri al da birlikte yaşayalım.
Adam:
-Olmaz alamam... Sen bir kuşsun hiç bir kuş adama aşık olur mu?... demiş.
Kırlangıç tekrar:
-Lütfen pencereyi açıp beni içeri al birlikte yaşarız. Hem ben sana dost ve arkadaş olurum canın da sıkılmaz birlikte yasar gideriz. demiş.
Adam yine:
-Olmaz alamam...Git başımdan, diye cevap vermiş.
Üçüncü ve son defa kuş adamın penceresinin önüne konup adama tekrar şöyle demiş:
-Lütfen beni içeri al.. Artık soğuklar da başladı, dışarıda kalamam biliyorsun ben sıcak havalarda yasayabilirim sadece. Beni içeri almazsan başka sıcak ülkelere gitmek zorunda kalırım. Lütfen beni içeri al da burada kalayım. Birlikte yemek yer omuzuna konar seni neşelendirir sana yarenlik ederim. Hem sen de benim gibi yalnızsın, der...
Adam ona:
-Git derhal başımdan!... Ben yalnız kalırım demiş ve kuşu kovmuş...
Kırlangıçta bu cevap üzerine üzüntülü bir şekilde uçmuş ve uzaklara gitmiş..
Adam kırlangıç uzaklara gittikten sonra düşünmüş ve kendi kendine "Ben ne aptal, ne kadar akilsiz bir adamım, niye kırlangıçla birlikte kalmayı kabul etmedim? Ne güzel birlikte kalırdık demiş ve çok pişman olmuş, pişman olmuş ama iş işten geçmiş. Kendi kendine nasıl olsa sıcaklar başlayınca kırlangıcım yine gelir ben de onu içeri alır birlikte mutlu bir hayat sürerim, demiş. Ve penceresini sonuna kadar açıp beklemeye başlamış. Yazın gelmesiyle kırlangıçlar da gelmeye başlamış. Ama onun kırlangıcı gelmemiş. Yazın sonuna kadar hiç penceresini kapatmadan pencerenin başında beklemiş ama boşuna... Kırlangıç yokmuş. Gelen kırlangıçlara sormuş ama onun kırlangıcını gören olmamış. Sonunda bir bilge kişiye halini danışmak ve ondan bilgi almak için gitmiş. Bilge kişiye olayı anlattıktan sonra bilge kişi ona söyle demiş:
-Kırlangıçların ömrü 6 aydır . . .
